Three days ago I tapered down to one mesalamine pill. It's too early to tell how I'll do on that.
But about halfway through the two-pill a day taper, I noticed more significant improvements. My stool was more firm. (Not all the way to normal, but getting closer!) And more exciting, my urgency decreased a lot. Again, not normal yet (and it may not get all the way normal), but SO much better. I think I am almost to where I was six months ago when I felt I was oh-so-close.
This being the first of the year, I was worried about getting my next supply of Rinvoq because of possible New Year authorization problems. But I received notice that it should be arriving in the next few days, so I won't worry about my Rinvoq unless I have a reason. (Edit: My Rinvoq arrived! So relieved!)
So, everything is looking . . . and feeling! . . . good for right now.
