Health Update December 2024: Quick Update

I've been off the prednisone for five weeks. On the first of this month, I tapered to three mesalamine pills, down from four. I'm still on on the one Rinvoq pill, 30 mg.

So how are my symptoms?

No pain, except for an occasional achiness, but that never lasts for very long. Stool is more solid at first, which is better than it was, but it is still a loose solidness (if that makes sense) and then ends with strips or mush. But it is better.

My urgency is still irksome. When the urge to go comes, I better be within fifteen to thirty seconds of a toilet. Apparently, for some people, this is the last thing to recover.

So everything is headed in the right direction. I will taper down the mesalamine to two pills in two weeks. I'm looking forward to that.
