I dropped back to one Rinvoq and one mesalamine about three weeks ago and I am doing well.
When I first started the Rinvoq, Abbvie (the maker of Rinvoq) assigned me to someone who called once a month to check how I was doing. After two and a half years of checking on me once a month, Abbvie has decided I'm doing well enough that they will only contact me once a quarter. And unless I have a bad flare, I will not be seeing my gastroenterologist until next February, 2026.
So yes! I am doing very well. Even the urgency is much better. I wish it was as good as it was before I developed UC, but at least I have time to find and get to a bathroom now.
